Resident Hospitalized From 3-Alarm Fire At Maynard Apartment Complex: Officials

One resident was hospitalized after a multi-alarm fire broke out at an apartment complex in Maynard this week, officials said.

Crews responded to the three-alarm fire at a senior housing complex on Powder Mill Circle around 6:30 a.m on Wednesday, March 22, the Maynard Fire Department reports. Upon arrival, crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the second floor.

About eight residents are now without homes and the fire was brought under control around 7:40 a.m., MFD continued. One resident was brought to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Maynard firefighter also was transported with non-life-threatening injuries, MFD added. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
